Featured in Realtor Magazine's 30 Under 30 Centennial Issue

It was a great honor to be featured in Realtor magazine's 30 Under 30 in June 2009. And now, in 2010 I had the opportunity to visit Chicago, IL for a photo shoot in their Centennial Issue: A Decade of Success. Amongst other winning, talented and young real estate professionals, I participated in a photo shoot on location in Chicago’s Historical Union Station. It was a great rewarding experience that I will never forget.

The 30 Under 30 contest seeks out the most promising and innovative 30 Realtors in the nation, each under the age of 30. These are Realtors® who embody youthful success in real estate and are chosen based on their future potential, business acumen, leadership within their industry and community, as well as innovation and creativity in marketing.

For this year's issue, REALTOR® Magazine revisited some of the winners to find out how their business has fared, attitudes have evolved, and what advice they'd offer to people starting out in real estate today. What they found was that while the economy has tested our confidence, through ambition and perseverance we have retained many of our qualities that made us stand out from the beginning.

It was great to hear that more agents are embracing internet marketing and social media marketing strategies such as through Facebook and Twitter to grown their business, as I consistently do. And, it was a pleasure to exchange advice amongst each other on how to continue driving through the tough economic downturn.

Here is what some agents had to say:

"This business is not for the faint of heart," Inman says. "It's designed for the special few who love to talk for a living while developing relationships with perfect strangers. If that doesn't scare you, then you should have some success."

"You are constantly with clients during a very exciting time in their life," says Stokes, "and it is rewarding to be a part of such a major change."

I congratulate each of us, and thank Realtor magazine for their support and future support of young real estate professionals.
